About us
Cellzome is a privately-owned drug discovery and development company, and a leader in the use of chemical proteomics technologies to identify a new generation of drug candidates for the treatment of inflammatory diseases.
Our pipeline of small-molecule therapeutics is driven by Kinobeads™, a proprietary technology for screening and profiling kinases in their physiological context. We have developed a new technology, called Episphere™ to address epigenetic targets in disease-specific protein complexes. Our goal is to identify oral therapeutics for inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, and inflammatory bowel disease. The overall market for autoimmune diseases is forecast to grow at 6.5% per annum to $25.6bn by 2016 [source: Datamonitor].
The management team has strong scientific and commercial credentials, and is backed by some of the biotech industry's most experienced investors. Cellzome is intent on developing both organically and through merger or acquisition, whilst maintaining its values of transparency, commitment and mutual respect.
Cellzome has two significant collaborations with GSK. Our holding company is domiciled in the US and we employ about 90 people at our two laboratories in Cambridge, UK and Heidelberg, Germany.
